Mit GUGUS! kehrt die Company Rebecca Weingartner ins Roxy zurück, um die Trilogie von Tanzstücken für ein junges Publikum nach EQUALITY! und SOLIDARTY!, zu vervollständigen. 

Ging es in den letzten Produktionen um ein diskriminierungsfreies Miteinander zwischen den Geschlechtern und von Menschen mit verschiedenen Migrationsgeschichten, tanzen wir zum Schluss mit einer eigenwilligen Interpretation des Freiheitsbegriffs aus der Reihe. „Gugus!“ lädt ein zum Spielen und dadaistischen Quatschmachen - wir tauchen ein in eine Welt voller Non-Sense, Akrobatik, Tanz, Lautmalerei, Musik und Krach. Wir fliegen durch die Lüfte, werden zu seltsamen Kreaturen und lassen den Alltag mit seinem Wachstums- und Selbstoptimierungslogik weit hinter uns.

With GUGUS!, the Company Rebecca Weingartner completes the trilogy of dance pieces for a young audience, following EQUALITY! and SOLIDARITY!. While the previous productions focused on discrimination-free coexistence between genders and people with diverse migration backgrounds, this final piece dances out of line with a unique interpretation of the concept of freedom.

"GUGUS!", a Swiss German term meaning both "hello" and "nonsense," explores themes of freedom, liberation from societal pressures to perform, and the joy of embracing playfulness and absurdity. Drawing inspiration from the Dada movement—a 20th-century artistic rebellion against logic, reason, and capitalist values—the performance will showcase two circus artists in extravagant costumes. They will take flight, defying gravity, morph into fantastical beings, and transcend the mundane rules of growth and self-improvement.​
